WHERE WE CAME FROM
Will Woolley – Owner
My passion for woodworking began long before Brooks Joinery was established. As the son of a cabinet maker, I grew up surrounded by timber, tools and traditional craftsmanship. Helping my father in the workshop taught me the importance of precision, patience and attention to detail from an early age.
Simple projects such as building a toolbox or restoring an old school desk sparked a fascination with creating something solid, accurate and built to last — values that still define the business today.
In 2002, I began my apprenticeship with a local joinery manufacturer, completing NVQ Levels 2 and 3 with two distinctions, one credit, and receiving the James Heapy Award for Apprentice of the Year at Stockport College. Those formative years established the technical foundations and high standards that continue to shape every project we undertake.
In 2008, I established my first workshop in Monyash. What began as a small workshop quickly grew through word of mouth, repeat customers and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
As demand increased, Brooks Joinery relocated to larger premises in Whaley Bridge in 2016, allowing us to invest in modern manufacturing equipment while remaining true to the traditional skills that define our work today.
